Updates on Cheltenham Open Data

It’s been a while since I’ve post here and that is because it’s been a very busy couple of weeks of family time and activities.

I have also been working on my new project and adding much more content to Cheltenham Open Data. Perhaps it was spending 14 years at a statistics agency and a career in development that led to this. But here we are, a new venture to put local data infront of local people.

Here is a list of every page so far, many came together very quickly with an established process. A script to generate the output as JSON a layout.html file which uses liquid to produce the data output, mostyl as tables, some maps using leaflet.js. a markdown file with front matter containing title, description, type (which gives it it’s section and colour scheme - which flows nicely across the entire page).

I’m still looking and thinking about what other data would be useful.

I’ve also added the site as a ‘business’ on Linkedin and created bluesky and mastodon accounts. So do give them all a follow and a like, thanking you.
