Lansdown Foundry turns handwriting into a real, installable font, drawn with Apple Pencil. Instead of plotting points like a type-design tool, you trace a stencil (a book serif or a clean sans, both drawn by the developer and sold as fonts in their own right) or start from a blank page, and every stroke is drawn with a calligraphic nib, so thick and thin come from the pen, heavier where you press. Key letters do the work: draw the n and you get h, m and u; the comma brings every quote. Add balls, curls and swashes, fine-tune spacing and kerning, and the app makes Bold and Italic from the same drawing.

The finished font installs on iPad and Mac, so it appears in Pages, Keynote, Procreate and other apps, or exports for the web. It’s built for iPad first, with a Mac app included, a Liquid Glass icon, iCloud sync between devices, and no account, subscription, ads or data collection. A one-off purchase.
